Maryland advocates saw a huge win in the 2023 legislative session. SB378 would have allowed minors to be vaccinated without the consent of their parents, while simultaneously disallowing minors from refusing vaccines. With almost 1000 emails sent to the Senate sponsor of the bill, along with our call to action being featured in a Fox News article, we successfully saw the bill withdrawn from the legislative session.

What is the process to get a religious exemption in your state?
Using the form provided by the Maryland Department of Health, a student whose parent or guardian objects to immunization on the ground that the immunization conflicts with the parent’s or guardian’s bona fide religious beliefs and practices is exempt from the requirement to present a physician’s certificate of immunization in order that the student be admitted to school.
