ONE: President Trump withdraws the U.S. from the World Health Organization.
The new administration has hit the ground running. On Day 1, President Trump signed an executive order reaffirming the United States’ withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO) he started in his first term.
YOU helped get this across the finish line!

We’re pleased to see a promise kept on Day 1 of the new administration. It’s a solid first step back to family sovereignty over children’s health. We will have to stay vigilant, though, because The One Health agenda of the WHO has been snaked through many federal agencies and laws we have passed. Employees of public health agencies can outlast changing administrations and perpetuate past policies. Also, the WHO is only part of the unfolding global health security agenda. There are threats to our families like digital ID that may not seem to apply to health, but they do.
The One Health agenda goes hand in hand with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, which have a central goal of digitizing all aspects of life and using that technology and data to enact, enable, and enforce government policy. Health has been at the center of this new digital world order very clearly since the declared COVID pandemic.
The U.S. federal government recently released a new National One Health Framework for 2025-20291. You can see the overreach of the One Health approach in the broad array of federal agencies that have embraced it. The Framework boasts 23 agencies in eight federal departments. You’ll find One Health in unexpected places, like the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, the National Parks Service, the Department of Energy, and the Department of Homeland Security.
Exiting the WHO is a great step, but it’s not the only one that needs to be taken to protect Americans from global overreach that can trample on informed consent and privacy. Stand for Health Freedom will keep reading between the lines to protect our rights and spot opportunities for strategic action.
TWO: Fauci is preemptively pardoned by former President Biden.
In the last days of his presidency, Joe Biden preemptively pardoned Anthony Fauci, former director of NIAID, for “any offenses against the United States which he may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014, through [January 19, 2025] arising from or in any manner related to his service as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force or the White House COVID-19 Response Team, or as Chief Medical Advisor to the President.”2
The pardon is very broad and covers an 11-year period. Curiously, it came on the heels of a Florida grand jury report that found no basis for criminal wrongdoing prosecutions for those investigated regarding COVID policy, including Fauci. But there was a damning report issued from the U.S. House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic that mentioned Fauci’s name over 200 times, and the incoming Health and Human Services Secretary nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. authored a book about “The Real Anthony Fauci” and his wrongdoings. 3
It might stand out to you that the pardon was issued from 2014. What is the significance of that year? Fauci was head of NIAID starting in 1984. COVID broke news in 2019, and Fauci’s pandemic activities are specifically mentioned in the pardon. So what is the significance of the very specific choice to start the pardon in 2014? Does it have anything to do with the fact that 2014 was the year former president Obama banned federal funding for gain-of-function research while NIAID is believed to have been funding the research in China?4 5This would effectively shield Fauci from federal prosecution for gain-of-function research or a lab-leak origin of COVID.6
A presidential pardon is typically given to someone who has been convicted of a crime. But the pardon power is not limited to removing convictions and has been interpreted by our U.S. Supreme Court as very broad. Article 2, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution gives the president the power to “grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.”7 An 1866 case gave us the scope we still see today: A pardon can apply to any actions already committed regardless of whether there was a conviction, but it cannot apply to actions in the future.8
Representative Chip Roy from Texas, along with some other Republicans, have expressed displeasure with this preemptive pardon. But is there any silver lining?
Interestingly, with the pardon, Fauci should not be able to “plead the Fifth” to protect himself from self-incrimination9. So were he to be called before Congress again, he would have to tell all… or lie.
What happens now for those who want justice for the lies and hidden truths that formed the foundation of cruel and arbitrary public health policy during COVID, which injured or killed countless numbers of Americans? Presidential pardons don’t apply to state criminal prosecutions, so the possibility of state investigations still exists.10 The federal pardon could be challenged as vague or too broad. The issue could be brought before the International Court of Justice. This is one of those areas where we have big questions and will have to remain vigilant and poised to act if or when we can.
THREE: Trump announces new “Stargate” project for artificial intelligence dominance in health (and beyond?)
On Day 2 of his administration, President Trump held a sure-to-be-historic press conference to introduce America to a new Project Stargate, which is a public-private partnership coming with a $500 billion promised investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure in America. At the presser, Larry Ellison, a driving force behind the project, gave us two hints about what America could do with this AI Goliath: Use AI to comb electronic health records (EHR) so doctors who are not at the likes of Sloan Kettering or Stanford would be able to “provide a health care plan that is better than it otherwise would be.” Most notably, however, Ellison described a new cancer “vaccine” dream that he claims will be reality when his AI empire is built: a personalized mRNA cancer shot ready within 48 hours. Sam Altman, a creator of Open AI reiterated the health focus: “I believe that as this technology progresses we will see diseases get cured at an unprecedented rate. We will be amazed at how quickly we’re curing this cancer, and that one, and heart disease…to cure the diseases at a rapid, rapid rate I think will be among the most important things this technology does.” That lofty claim begs the question: What else is this mind-blowing and never-before-seen technology going to do?
Clearly, Americans who voted for health freedom have a lot of questions and even feel betrayed. The disastrous mRNA COVID shot rollout has volumes of unanswered questions and evidence of harm. Moving forward, we will hold our public officials accountable for preserving our God-given and constitutionally protected rights, including informed consent and privacy.
Here’s some of what we’ll be watching for:
- How can we be confident the concerns of the American people about the current mRNA shots will be investigated when we see historic investments in more of the same, supported by the office of the president?
- Why would we move forward with mRNA technology when we are still seeing the fallout from COVID shots? Many scientists and doctors call this reckless at best, criminal at worst.
- What does this mean for privacy and mandatory testing when public health and private industry are sharing data, such as whole genome sequencing and behavioral information?
- Why is the government propping up another innovative effort that should be left to the private sector? How will the U.S. government effectively regulate such a blockbuster drug if it has vested interest in its success?
- What is the process for testing and performing placebo studies when it’s a unique and individualized vaccine?
- If the wondrous power of AI can create personalized medicine and also comb electronic health records for patterns and optimal outcomes, could we turn it from creating “vaccines” to instead pinpointing the root causes of cancer?
- What becomes of the role of a doctor,or is it just AI now? And what happens if you don’t want the treatment AI offers?
- Are “we the people,” the unwilling investor?
- Data sets like this are ripe for weaponization, especially with government involvement.
Trump noted he will help the project by issuing emergency declarations because “we have an emergency. We have to get this stuff built.” What was he talking about? Data centers. The project first and foremost is about many and massive data centers. What is a data center? It’s a building full of computers. Those computers are running and they need a lot of energy to do so. The U.S. Department of Energy tells us data centers consume “10 to 50 times the energy per floor space of a typical commercial office building.”11 That is predicted by industry insiders to double by 2030.12 (Is this an unspoken motivation behind executive orders for domestic drilling for oil?)
Even more important than energy consumption is data consumption. These data centers are designed to house our data, and when it comes to health, data can include some of the most sensitive and personal information about ourselves and our families. This massive gathering of information about Americans creates a vulnerability and a potential threat to our Fourth Amendment privacy rights. Data breaches are more and more frequent, and we have also seen weaponization of our health data. For example, vaccine passports forced Americans to disclose personal health choices and then penalized people who did not follow public policy by denying them access and the freedom to travel. Check out SHF’s article, “They’re constructing the perfect beast: Who is able to make war with him?” for a deeper dive into what AI can do with health data.
We can stay vigilant on Stargate by staying local: Analysts interpret Trump’s promise to issue emergency declarations as a way to get around local permits and land or energy restrictions.13 If you haven’t yet felt inspired to keep tabs on your zoning and other local government meetings, now is the time! Watch out for data centers planned near you. (Northern Virginia, Silicon Valley, Chicago, Phoenix, and Dallas are hot spots!14)
In other news…
Other news is more clear cut and does not need as in-depth an analysis.
EcoHealth is banned from funding.15
Military members who refused COVID shots were reinstated.16
During his inaugural address, President Trump vowed to reinstate members of our military who were booted for refusing the COVID shot, “with full back pay.” The president’s nominee for defense secretary echoed the promise in his confirmation hearings.17
An executive order issued on Day 1 of the new administration reaffirmed our First Amendment rights.18
In one of his first actions, our new president declared that censorship by the government is intolerable. The executive order reaffirming the First Amendment specifically called out labels like “disinformation” and “misinformation” as a way the federal government trampled free speech rights. Free flow of information is critical to informed consent.
Trump temporarily halts communications and publications from public health agencies19.
Prior to the presumptive new HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. being sworn in, the president has made the reasonable and predictable move of temporarily halting public health communications that were on autopilot from the previous administration. The pause includes publication in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), scientific publications, grant review, travel, social media, and more.20
