Stand for Health Freedom Endorses Ron DeSantis for Florida Governor
“We have long been known as the Sunshine State but, given the unprecedented lockdowns we have witnessed in other states, I think the Florida sun now serves as a beacon of light to those who yearn for freedom,” declared Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is running to retain his seat.
Throughout the COVID lockdowns, mandates, and government overreach of the past two years, DeSantis has indeed been a beacon in an otherwise dark time. He has fought tirelessly to keep his state open while avoiding a loss of individual rights. He has questioned the mainstream narrative, single handedly took on the CDC’s obvious overreach and found for the rights of parents all over Florida. If there was an award for the best handling of the pandemic, DeSantis would undoubtedly have won it!
The Washington Times stated: “Florida has lower per-capita COVID-19 mortality than the national average and lower than 27 other states, including tightly-locked-down California, despite having more senior citizens. Its unemployment rate is lower than the national average. Florida offers more in-person education than any other state…”
“We are in an oasis of freedom in a nation that’s suffering from the yoke of oppressive lockdowns,’’ DeSantis told a crowd gathered at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando last February. “We look around in other parts of our country, and in far too many places, we see schools closed, businesses shuttered, and lives destroyed. And while so many governors over the last year kept locking people down, Florida lifted people up. … The reasons are clear ― Florida is successful because we are OPEN and let Floridians make decisions that are best for them.”
