At the 2025 Georgia Republican Party State Convention on June 7, 2025, delegates sent a clear and resounding message: medical freedom, parental rights, and health transparency are not fringe concerns—they are mainstream conservative values.
With strong support from grassroots advocates, parents, and citizens across the state, several resolutions aimed at protecting bodily autonomy, safeguarding family decision-making, and promoting accountability in public health passed with overwhelming approval. We are now looking to incorporate these resolutions into 2026 State Legislative Initiatives, setting the stage for bold policy action in the upcoming legislative session.
Key Resolutions Adopted
The Convention delegates approved several groundbreaking health freedom measures, including:
- A resolution to ban fluoride in Georgia’s public drinking water systems
- A resolution to prohibit geoengineering activities and hold violators accountable
- A resolution to add Vaccination Status Protections to the state’s Patients’ Bill of Rights
These initiatives reflect growing concern among Georgia families over government overreach, lack of medical transparency, and forced public health interventions.
Strengthening Education and Family Protections
Under Section 3: Education (page 19), delegates affirmed the central role of parents in the education of their children. Resolutions supporting Parental Rights in Education, Parental Involvement, and the Enforcement of Parental Rights were adopted, reinforcing the belief that parents—not bureaucrats—are best positioned to make decisions about their children’s learning and well-being.
Defending Medical Autonomy in the Georgia Bill of Rights
Under Section 5: Defending Life, Medical Freedom, and the Family (page 22), the Convention called for a constitutional amendment explicitly affirming that Georgians possess a natural, inalienable right to refuse vaccination or other medical treatment. Additional measures supported include:
- A call for greater transparency in medical data
- The creation of a COVID-19 Post-Pandemic Study Committee to review government response and long-term impacts
These proposals reflect not only the concerns of the Republican base, but also the lived experiences of many Georgia families impacted by medical mandates and a lack of public accountability during the pandemic.
A Call to Action for Georgia Lawmakers
The Georgia Coalition for Vaccine Choice and Stand for Health Freedom urge members of the Georgia Republican Caucus to take the next step:
- Review the 2025 Convention Report, particularly the 2026 Legislative Initiatives
- TAKE ACTION! Send an email to your policymakers and act them to take action on these issues, for the next session!
- Stand with Georgia parents and citizens who are demanding principled leadership on health freedom, medical transparency, and family protection
Now is the time to translate these platform victories into lasting legislative wins that will protect liberty, restore trust, and uphold Georgia’s conservative values.
We look forward to working alongside lawmakers to support these initiatives through continued grassroots engagement and coordinated action ahead of the 2026 session.
