Fluoride
INTRODUCTION
The type of fluoride that is added to about 90% of municipal water supplies are the silicofluorides, fluorosilicic acid (FSA) and sodium fluosilicate (NaFSA) which are by-products of the aluminum industry. A critical issue in the fluoridation debate is the lack of informed medical choice. Fluoride is delivered indiscriminately through water supplies, leaving individuals without an option to opt out.
Ready to advocate for the removal of fluoride in your town? We have made it incredibly easy. Follow these steps!
1.
Create a local advocacy team in your town
Develop a robust local advocacy team by recruiting 5-10 active community members who are passionate about health and informed decision-making. Prioritize engaging diverse local stakeholders who can provide credible perspectives, such as healthcare professionals (nurses, doctors, dentists, chiropractors), parents, and students. City officials are most responsive to constituents who represent a cross-section of the community and can speak from personal and professional experience about water fluoridation’s potential health impacts.
2.
Use our digital call-to-action to inform local city officials.
As you mobilize your community, we’re ready to assist you in creating a targeted digital “Call to Action” email to your county commissioners. Our platform can help you draft a professional, compelling message requesting an end to water fluoridation. This streamlined process is fully automated, making it easy for you to engage local officials and advocate for community health.
Strategically follow up with county commissioners to identify a health freedom champion. Use our comprehensive toolkit to educate each commissioner individually, breaking down evidence into compelling, targeted arguments.
3.
Help prepare an email out to other advocates in your town
We will initiate a targeted “Call to Action” email campaign through our database, reaching all Stand for Health Freedom registered citizens in your County. Participants can utilize our streamlined, automated response system to quickly contact county commissioners, demonstrating robust community engagement. This efficient process, taking approximately two minutes to complete, will generate a significant volume of correspondence to highlight widespread public concern regarding water fluoridation.
4.
Before a public presentation have a plan in place with your team
Organize a strategic virtual meeting with your team to coordinate a comprehensive advocacy campaign against water fluoridation. Systematically assign specific tasks to team members, including:
- Contacting county commissioners via email and phone
- Conducting in-person visits with commissioners
- Assessing individual commissioner support levels with a heat map
Your objective is to secure a minimum of three commissioners’ votes to end water fluoridation. Utilize the pre-drafted communication templates (found below) as a foundation, encouraging team members to personalize and refine the messaging. Implement a sustained outreach strategy of continuous communication, education, and engagement to maximize impact.
5.
It’s time to speak publically at a city meeting or water board meeting
With phone calls made, emails sent and visits completed, hopefully with one commissioner on the inside carrying the torch in support of ending fluoridation of the water and a majority as well, go speak during public comments. Know specifically what is required to end fluoridation in advance of the first public presentation.
6.
Here is how to make your public comment count!
- Organize folks to speak during public comments.
- Divide up the most pertinent facts and present.
- Seed your doctors additional time if possible.
- Bring printed documentation for the record and have copies for the board, the attorney, the court reporter and the city manager.
- Ask them to create an ordinance, modify code, stop funding or do whatever is necessary to end fluoridation.
- Always be respectful, motivating and encouraging.
5 emails to send your elected officials
Use these templates to easily draft personalized letters advocating for fluoride removal from your county water supply. Simply download the document, customize the content with your specific details, local research, and personal perspective, then send it to your local county officials to request a meeting and discuss the potential health risks associated with water fluoridation.
