- SR 813, which urges the Georgia Department of Public Health to study the relationship between sudden unexpected infant and child deaths and vaccinations, is modeled after Louisiana’s Infant Mortality Transparency Resolution.
- For SR 813 to advance this session, it must receive committee action soon. This includes a hearing and a favorable vote in the Senate Health & Human Services Committee, followed by placement on the Rules Calendar, second and third readings, and a vote on the Senate floor. Ideally, this process should be completed before March 6 to avoid procedural delays.
- At present, SR 813 has not been scheduled for a hearing. If the resolution does not receive a hearing and committee vote before Crossover Day, it will not move forward this session. Your engagement is critical.
- Take Action: Please contact members of the Georgia Senate Health & Human Services Committee and respectfully request:
- A hearing on SR 813
- A committee vote to advance the resolution
- In addition, calls to Chairman Ben Watson are especially important.

- When reaching out, be firm, respectful, and clear that Georgia families deserve transparency and thoughtful review of the data.
