Tell Nevada lawmakers: No taxpayer funding for cloud seeding
Our Stand: At-A-Glance
- SB 6 would allocate $1.2 million in public funds to expand the Nevada State Cloud Seeding Program—despite growing concerns about the unknown health and environmental impacts of these operations.
- Other states, like Tennessee, have banned weather modification, and more (Florida, Kentucky, North Dakota) are moving to do the same. Until full transparency and safety data are provided, Nevada should not fund or expand this program.
- ACTION #1: Write the Senate Committee on Natural Resources through our form and tell them you are vigorously opposed to taxpayer funding of this program by 3:30 PM on, 2/26/25.
- ACTION #2: Submit your opposition on NELIS: CLICK HERE and then click on the SUBMIT an OPINION button in the upper right hand corner. No deadline – but best to do NOW. The legislators see how many people are opposed and how many are in favor. The sooner you do this, the better and it only takes a moment.
