INDIANA: URGENT! Stop School-Based Mental Health Program infiltration
Our Stand: At-A-Glance
Updated February 13, 2025
- UPDATE! We called and emailed our Senators en masse, putting pressure on them to KILL THE BILL, but sadly too few of them listened and the bill passed the Senate anyway on February 13th.
- ACTION: Please take action today by clicking to email your Indiana Senator thanking them for their No vote or POLITELY expressing your disappointment with their yes vote on SB359.
- Also, please remember how they voted on this issue and how it aligned with your request – then take that information with you to the ballot box the next time you vote.
New to this call-to-action? Here is the original verbiage below:
- SB359 creates a student well-being and resiliency program by contracting with a 3rd party vendor to provide mental health services to students during the school day.
- This bill provides the perfect framework for predatory programs like Kooth to enter our schools and target our children.
- Stand for Health Freedom’s Indiana team reached out to Senators to express concern with the bill and immediately gained support from allied Senators who share our concern.
- In addition, Leah Wilson, SHF’s Executive Director and Indiana resident, met with the bill’s author (Senator Alexander) in his office Wednesday Feb 5th to express concerns with the bill.
- Phone Calls and emails in combination are the most effective method for advocating against a bill that’s about to pass! We know the email alone is easier, but please make the phone call as well to increase your effectiveness.
