- UPDATE: You did it! SB246 is on the schedule to be voted on TODAY! Please contact your Senator today!
- SB246 is a bill that would clarify that a parent or guardian’s written declaration is sufficient documentation to exempt his or her child from a vaccine requirement for religious reasons.
- As it stands right now, Alabama parents/guardians must make an appointment to go to the health department, sign papers and watch a video that speaks to the benefits of vaccination.
- SB246 would remove the health department as it is an unconstitutional overreach. It would allow the parents/guardians write a letter present to the school and they cannot be questioned or denied.
- Please contact your Senator and urge them to vote yes on SB246 today!
