Florida Families Deserve Fair Access to Care
SUPPORT SB1756 / HB917
Our Stand: At-A-Glance
- UPDATED! 4/21 MEDICAL FREEDOM IS IN THE SPECIAL SESSION. Congratulations on making your voices known that Floridians want health freedom in the state. The announcement has been made and we are being told that the bill will closely mimicking SB1756 from this years session. Even though the bill for special session has not yet landed, we need to make noise. Simply ask your House Rep and House Leadership to support medical freedom this special session. Once we have the specifics of the bill, we will alert and make changes!
- Here is what SB1756 did for us this past session:
-
SB1756 expands the ability for parents to opt out of school vaccination requirements under a new “conscience” exemption.
-
Requires healthcare providers to give parents information about vaccine risks and benefits before vaccinating a child.
-
Removes the state surgeon general’s authority to mandate vaccines during a public health emergency.
-
And prevents certain financial incentives from vaccine manufacturers to providers for administering vaccines.
-
- ACTION: SB 1756 was passed in the Senate and we think we can see passage there again, so now we are targeting the House to see the bill move and pass!
