- UPDATE! HB711 will be heard by the House Health and Welfare Committee on Wednesday, April 24th at 9:30 am in Room 5. Please send a statement in support to the committee now!
- HB711 by Representative Jay Galle, ensures that parents and guardians receive prior, uncoerced, fully-informed consent for vaccination of their minor child as legally required by the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA).
- HB711 also ensures that ONLY parents or legal guardians make this important medical decision for their children.
- Federal law requires that parents receive important information, prior to vaccination, called a Vaccine Information sheet (VIS). Because healthcare providers and vaccine manufacturers are not liable for injuries that occur as a result of vaccination, fully-informed consent is vital. HB711 will ensure that parents receive this crucial information.
