Ban Weather Modification and Atmospheric Pollution in the Kentucky House
HB22 and SB62 would ban to weather modification and atmospheric polluting in the Commonwealth
Our Stand: At-A-Glance
- Citizens of Kentucky have never given the federal government, state, or any other entity our permission to fill our skies, air, water, land, or lungs with weatherization chemicals or any other pollutants.
- Geoengineering includes the use of aircraft to inject pollutants into the atmosphere to manipulate the environment. This includes solar radiation modification, weather modification, stratospheric aerosol injection, and other forms of atmospheric polluting intervention.
- These practices endanger human health and safety and the environment; threaten air, water, soil, and wildlife resources; disrupt agricultural operations; and potentially interfere with aviation, state security, and the economy of the Commonwealth.
- On January 7th HB22 and SB62 were filed to make it a crime for any entity, including all levels of government and corporations, to engage in atmospheric polluting in Kentucky.
