FLORIDA: Support the vaccine-injured by ensuring they receive expedited access to care
Our Stand: At-A-Glance
- Have you or a loved one experienced adverse reactions to a vaccine or emergency countermeasure drug? If so, this is a bill you will want to support.
- Cody’s Law: Florida No Vaccine-Injured Patient Left Behind Act was introduced in the house this year (HB 149) and would ensure that those who have been injured receive expedited access to state disability Medicare and Medicaid programs without the burden of lengthy disability determinations.
- Many Americans are now disabled and cannot work due to their injury and the added medical needs, bills, transportation to appointments, and prescriptions are bankrupting families. Research and data, including the Florida Grand Jury Investigation report and the House Select Subcommittee on Coronavirus, shows that vaccine injuries were grossly underreported.
- This legislation is about setting a precedent for compassion and support in our state to help those who have been severely harmed to receive medical care at the time of the injury.
- Please reach out to your local Senator and ask them to sponsor the Senate version of this bill, so that we can pass this act into law.
- Thank you to Cody’s mom for this pivotal act and advocacy.
