URGENT ILLINOIS: Stop Our Policymakers from Passing “Access to Public Health Data” Legislation

Our Stand: At-A-Glance

  • HB4640 was filed January 19, 2022. This bill creates the Access to Public Health Data Act. This bill will amend the Department of Public Health Act and, among other things, seeks to allow health departments to access your private electronic health records.
  • HB4640 is a violation of the U.S. Constitution and a HUGE OVERSTEP by government which will destroy any remaining public trust in Illinois state leadership.
  • Please join your fellow Illinoisans in ensuring that the voice of the people can always be heard. Simply click to email your elected officials and urge them to oppose HB4640.
  • Then please share this important campaign with your friends, family, and neighbors. Also, please make sure you have filled out a Witness Slip to oppose this bill.
