Washington: Stop the creation of the Disinformation Ministry

HB1333 aims to use data-tracking solutions and find both civil and criminal legal tools to combat “disinformation and misinformation” in the state.

Our Stand: At-A-Glance

  • HB1333 will establish a “domestic violent extremism commission” in the AG’s office. It intends to identify solutions to “misinformation,” consider data-tracking methods, suggest new legislation and regulation, collect and report data on incidents, and consider how to fund these activities.
  • The commission will be required to follow the recommendations from this study from Attorney General Bob Ferguson.
  • An Anti-Defamation League (ADL) representative testified in support of the bill, claiming that certain viewpoints, such as those shown in the blue circles below (see the Our Stand: Full Story section for the image), pose a danger akin to white supremacy. For the entire presentation, click here.
  • Here’s their game plan. Peaceful citizens who oppose masks and C-19 shots are now being labeled as “motivating extremists” by well-funded entities working with Attorney General Ferguson. It’s clear that the mask-vaccine-extremism framework is not about public health or safety, but a tool for surveilling, tracking, censoring, and controlling the population. For what purpose? Who benefits from censorship? Who benefits when the government proposes a framework that they acknowledge will violate both the state and federal constitutions?
  • It’s time for all hands on deck to oppose not only this bill, but also the dangerous direction AG Ferguson and others want to go. This is the United States of America: land of the free, because of the brave. We need everyone to be brave, be peaceful, and be loud. Please review the linked information in the Informed Choice Washington’s substack  carefully and critically. Share it widely. This is not about race, creed, color, gender, or any other divisive label being assigned to any of us. We might disagree on some topics, but we all agree that freedom is a human right worth fighting for. Together, we can protect Washington and the U.S.A.
  • Please email the House state government and Tribal Relations Committee, telling them not to pass this through. Please consider inserting a sentence at the beginning of the form message expressing your concern.
