Kim Thatcher assumed office as a Senator in 2015 and was previously was in the Oregon house as a Representative in 2010. Thatcher has been noted for saying that she ran for office because she and many people in the community were not happy with the way state government was run, especially when it was hurting small businesses.
In October of 2020, Dr. Henry L. Ealy and a dedicated team of research professionals began formal outreach to every U.S. Attorney and members of the Department of Justice. After multiple attempts to inform them fell on deaf ears, Dr. Ealy and Oregon Senators Kim Thatcher and Dennis Linthicum filed a fully cited 63-page Grand Jury Petition in federal court with over 1,000 pages of exhibits to substantiate their allegations of criminal data fraud and willful misconduct by appointed officials on March 7, 2022.
