Stand for Health Freedom Endorses Beth Jones for Oregon House Representative District 17
“My two main goals in running are to fight for the Constitution and fight against agency overreach,” said Beth Jones. This delegation of authority by unelected bureaucrats makes it easier to get away with breaking the law, she explained. A city council member for four years, Jones is committed to keeping these agencies accountable, removing their government funding if they stray from their stated purposes.
A civil defense litigation lawyer, Jones founded Bambinos Oregon, a nonprofit organization serving both low-income and foster families in the state of Oregon.
Jones believes that parents have superior rights, which she feels have been ignored and infringed upon by the state of Oregon. “It is my number one duty as a lawmaker is to secure our liberty interest; that is the role of government,” she said. “We have a right to bodily autonomy and the right to parent our children as we see fit. That is the job, the job isn’t to try and get around constitutional rights or lay them down for what is determined as the collective good, it is to secure our liberty interest.”
Stand for Health Freedom supports candidates who make and protect policy to support individual and family choice in matters of health and bodily autonomy. We believe Beth Jones will defend and expand these rights for Oregon residents.
